Unless your character is from like, Yakuza (where Akagi actually exists in-universe as a manga and it can be assumed Kaiji does as well) or something, I'd rather not make reference to Tonegawa being fictional in serious RP. Non-serious RP, though? Sure, go nuts.

Offensive Subjects

Please warn for CSA (childhood sexual assault).

IC Permissions:

Physical Contact + Violence

I'm grouping these together here because in both cases, how Acceptable he finds someone else intruding his personal space (violently or not) is directly proportional to how much he respects their power. He won't hesitate to slap your hand off his shoulder if you're some common mook, but if he holds you in high regard, you could absolutely kick his ass and he'll apologize for exhausting you.

Speaking for myself, though... for physical contact: if it's in character for your muse to get hands-on with any stern-faced businessman they just met, feel free to do so, just don't be surprised if he reacts badly to it (or DO be surprised if he doesn't mind).

As for violence, I'm fine with unprompted attacks on his person so long as they:

• aren't fatal (unless its of course, a result of him being killed or executed in a murdergame)
• don't significantly impair his movement or speech (i.e. socking him in the gut without warning me is fine, but breaking a limb, you'd need to run by me first)

But please. Don't feel bad about wanting to kick his ass. Its what he needs.

Romance

Tonegawa isn't exactly the warmest person in the world, and likely sees any and all non-business relationships as frivolous distractions. This means any attempt at a serious romance involving him is by default going to be a slow burn. Those who rush in carelessly will manage nothing more than annoying him.

With all that in mind, if you're bold enough to go for it and I think we have enough of a dynamic to work with, feel free to ask. Again, though, be respectful of the fact I'm still allowed to say no for whatever reason (not Feeling the idea, not being familiar enough with you or your character yet, etc).

Opt-Outs

Kaiji Spoilers

I know that Kaiji is a relatively obscure series that not many people have watched/read (though while I have your attention, if you have the time and can handle the more depressing and violent aspects, I would highly recommend it), so by default I will try to avoid explicit plot spoilers. Still, though, I might allude to certain later plot elements (in a way that doesn't spoil the actual events of the plot itself!) but if even that's too much for you and you really wanna experience Kaiji totally blind, lemme know!

Pretty Much Anything Involving Teiai (Violence / Torture / Death / etc)

Working for a shady vengeful loanshark company run by a tyrannical sadist means Tonegawa has both borne witness to and helped orchestrate a lot of human suffering in his time, in fact, Tonegawa himself was also not exempt from the human suffering his boss and workplace inflicted.

In rough order of "likelihood of being brought up in a thread": there's burning flesh (specifically, being forced into laying on a hot grill), ear damage, finger damage, and eye horror. All of which I'm likely to put subject warnings for by default anyway- and the last two are definitely less "opt-outs" and more "specifically opt-in for me to talk about them" since I know how widely unnerving those subjects are.

Smoking

Tonegawa is a habitual smoker, but if you're uncomfortable with this, let me know and I'll avoid writing about or using icons of him smoking in threads with you.

Anything Else

If you have any other reasons for not wanting to interact with Tonegawa and would rather I not comment on threads involving you for any reason, please tell me and I'll stay out of your way.
